| Details: | Four companies will present their future work plans to the oil services business community for the first time at the fourth PILOT Progressing Partnership Share Fair later this week.
CNR, ITI Energy, KBR and PetroCanada will be joining Share Fair regulars BP, ChevronTexaco, Encana, Shell, TOTAL, UKOOA and WoodGroup at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre on Thursday (5 February 2004) to provide information about their scheduled activities over the next 18 months.
The Progressing Partnership Supply Chain Code of Practice has been newly revised and will also be available for the first time at the Share Fair. This code was drafted for suppliers, following extensive consultation and aims to improve client supplier relationships in areas such as contract awards and prompt payment of invoices. Already more than 200 companies have signed up to the code, and forms will be available at the event for those still wishing to join.
Over 500 people have already pre-registered to attend the free event on Thursday. Share Fairs are held bi-annually in Aberdeen, while similar events have also taken place around in the UK and in Norway.
Launched in 2002 by PILOT, the government industry forum to improve the competitiveness of the UK offshore oil and gas industry, Share Fairs provide first class networking opportunities for companies to mix with new and existing clients, gather advance notice of upcoming contracts and general market intelligence, allowing them to plan ahead.
Commenting on his decision to take part in the next Share Fair, Bob Keiller, KBR Production Services' Director of UK Operations, said: "KBR sees the PILOT Progressing Partnership Share Fair as an ideal opportunity to meet with the suppliers who are so important to our business. Our customers are always looking for us to add value to their operations and we rely heavily on using the best the supply chain has to offer to improve what we do", Tony Amor, Chief Executive of ITI Energy, added: ""ITI Energy helps companies address the challenges of emerging markets worldwide. We are delighted to have the opportunity to articulate the role of ITI Energy at the Share Fair and demonstrate how it could work with organisations to identify future markets and consequently develop the technology to exploit these markets commercially. In order to do this successfully - it is important that energy related organisations understand our purpose, and, more importantly, we understand their capabilities. Share Fair has given us the opportunity to open up this dialogue further." The fourth PILOT Progressing Partnership Share Fair will open from 9.30am -16.00pm. The event is managed by LOGIC. Those still wishing to pre-register can do so at http://www.logic-oil.com. Registration at the AECC is also possible on 5 February. |
