| Details: | PILOT, the joint Government/ Industry initiative to improve competitiveness in the UK offshore oil and gas industry, today re-launches its website at http://www.pilottaskforce.co.uk, in a new format which makes navigating through the wealth of information about its influential work easier.
Two key new features are a diary section, where visitors can keep up to date on forthcoming industry events, and a registration facility for email bulletins on the latest PILOT news.
PILOT was set up in January 2000 as the successor body to the Government Oil and Gas Industry Task Force. Its 26 members are senior representatives from across Industry, the trade unions and six Government departments, chaired by Brian Wilson MP, Minister for Energy and Construction.
PILOT's work focuses on areas that will influence the future viability of the sector in the UK, such as maximising economic recovery of remaining reserves, increased UK-Norway co-operation, production efficiency and cost, and the attraction and retention of skilled personnel.
The website provides access to all workgroup documents, meeting agendas, minutes, presentations and papers, as well as information on individual members and links to associated organisations such as the Industry Technology Facilitator (ITF), LOGIC (Leading Oil and Gas Industry Competitiveness) and DEAL (Digital Energy Atlas and Library). |
