| Details: | The Advanced Drilling Techniques Theme Day was held on 23rd October 2007. Over 60 delegates attended the event which also involved Demo2000 from Norway. As well as leading to a Call for Proposals from ITF, the output was given to Demo for inclusion in their call in Norway. The ITF Call for proposals was issued with a submission deadline of 4th February 2008. ITF received 27 'notes of interest'. That is 27 different developers expressed the intention of submitting a proposal. Of these notes of interest 21 (78%) were from the UK, 2 (7%) were from France, 2 (7%) were from USA, and 1 each (4%) were from Norway and Russia.
Of these notes of interest, 18 submitted a proposal. These were made up of 14 (78%) from the UK, 2 (11%) from USA, 1 (5.5%) from Russia and 1 (5.5%) from France. Of these 18 submitted proposals, 9 were from developers who were new to ITF. The other 9 were from existing developers known to ITF. The total value of funding requested from these 18 proposals is £10 million, with an average of about £560 000. The value of individual funding requests ranged from the lowest being £37 500 and the highest being almost £2 million. |
