Supply Chain Champions

Whilst recognising that business ethics are an individual issue for each company and that the collaborative model is only one of several, the development and maintenance of trust is important for the knowledge sharing approach at the heart of much of PILOT's work.  Through Progressing Partnership Codes of Practice have been developed to foster communication and trust across the Industry and through the Supply Chain.

So far, over thirty Operators and major Contractors and Suppliers have identified a senior individual within their organisations to be the Supply Chain Champion. This individual is senior enough to make his or her management directly aware of related issues and to act as the point of contact for any company that feels its treatment is at odds with the stated policy of the customer.

Supply Chain Management

LOGIC is an industry funded organisation that will work with companies throughout the industry to stimulate collaboration and radically improve competitiveness - improving UK oil and gas sector performance by an estimated £1Bn by end 2002 and export performance by 50% by end 2005.

LOGIC serves the whole supply chain, including both large and small companies. It provides a source of professional, cost effective expertise to help companies develop profitable co-operative relationships.  Excellence in Supply Chain Management is key to achieving the above objective.
